Rainer Kulms is senior research fellow and head of the US law department at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, Lecturer-in-Law at Hamburg University, Germany, and Editor-in-Chief of the European Business Organi¬zation Law Review.
He graduated from Hamburg University (Dr. iuris and Postgraduate Degree of Habilitation), obtained an LL.M. from the University of Michigan, Ann Ar¬bor, and was Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge (Wolfson College).
He has taught at the universities of Hamburg, Belgrade, Cluj and Taipei and at CUPL, Beijing, and the China-EU School of Law. He has published two books and various articles in his field of research (German, European and US Corporate and Commercial Laws, and the law and economics of related regulatory issues) and co-authored books on mediation law, US class actions and private law in Eastern Europe.
