Dr. Christian Steger studied law at the University of Hamburg. With multiple internships in international law firms he gained practical experience in the area of International Arbitration, Litigation and Mergers & Acquisitions. Christian participated in the 16th Willem C. Vis Arbitration Moot for the University of Hamburg and coached the 17th and 20th Vis Moot Teams of the University of Hamburg. He is a co-founder of the Hamburg Vis Moot Alumni Association and is its chairman. Currently, he is working as a Research Associate at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. He completed his doctoral thesis in 2015 and since December 2014 is a Legal Trainee of the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg. Christian taught at the China-EU School of Law in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and was the coach of CESL’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team in 2014 and 2015.
