Notice on the Election of the Presidium of CESL's First Sub-Committee for Graduate Students

CESL will hold an assembly for all students in Room 306 of the Mingfa Building at 9:00 a.m. on Nov. 26 to select the members of the presidium for CESL's first sub-committee for graduate students. The details are as follows:
1. Members of the presidium for CESL's first sub-committee for graduate students (one president and two vice-presidents) will be selected through election.
Students from the 2008 and 2009 intakes are all qualified for the election. Students who intend to run for a position should register with the preparatory working group (including Zheng Jizhe, Zhao Zhan, Zhou Dandan and Zhang Qi) before 12:00a.m., Nov. 25 in order to arrange the election speeches.
3. The election procedure which will start at 9:00 a.m. on Nov. 26 will include election speeches and voting..
Every candidate has 5 minutes for the speech, and after all speeches have been delivered, the vote will begin.
All students from the 2008 and 2009 intakes will have the right to vote. The candidate for president who wins the most votes will be elected as the president of the presidium, while the top-two candidates for vice-president will be elected as the vice-presidents.
4. The functional departments of CESL's first
sub-committee for graduate students will be set up by the elected presidium and the responsible person for each department will be decided through competitive selection.
